KANSAS CITY, Mo. — It's an expected development, but significant nonetheless.
Von Miller will be in uniform as the Buffalo Bills face the Chiefs in Kansas City. That is in the midst of the ongoing case in Dallas where last week, he was arrested amid allegations of assaulting a pregnant woman.
Bills GM Brandon Beane says they're following the NFL's lead in dealing with the case, and that they're allowing Miller to practice, and now play, while the legal and NFL investigations continue.
Beane said he was confident, based on conversations he's had, that Miller will not wind up on NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell's exempt list, which would take him out of action.
This game also marks the return of tight end Dawson Knox, who has been out since week seven with a wrist injury. The Bills activated Knox from IR on Saturday.
Bills safety Taylor Rapp will also be active for this game after suffering a neck and shoulder injury in Buffalo's win over the New York Jets three weeks ago. Rapp was out of the line-up for the overtime loss to the Philadelphia Eagles which preceded Buffalo's bye week. His presence on the field against the Chiefs, could help limit the production of Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce, especially with linebacker Matt Milano lost for the season.
