BUFFALO, N.Y. — Saturday is the third and final day of this year's NFL draft, the first entirely virtual draft.
The Bills had the 22nd pick in the fourth round, which is pick 128 overall. With that pick the Bills selected wide receiver Gabriel Davis from the University of Central Florida. Davis played three years at UCF and decided to enter the draft before his senior year.
He's 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 212 pounds. He was second team All-AAC in 2018 and first team as a senior. He adds depth to the Bills wide receiver room, which was given a huge boost with the acquisition of Stefon Diggs earlier this offseason.
In his three seasons at Central Florida, Davis had 2,447 career yards with 152 receptions and 23 touchdowns. In his junior season Davis had 72 passes for 1,241 yards and 12 touchdowns.
In the fifth round the Bills drafted quarterback Jake Fromm from Georgia. He's 6-2 and 220 pounds. During his three-year career at Georgia, Fromm went 621 of 982 for 8,224 passing yards and 78 touchdowns, while only throwing 18 interceptions.
Fromm's numbers at the combine may have been part of the reason he was still available in the fifth round. He also doesn't have the big arm that a number of the other top prospects possess.
In the sixth round, the Bills selected kicker Tyler Bass out of Georgia Southern. He was a record-setting there. Last season he set a school record with 20 field goals while missing eight attempts. He was perfect on all 36 extra points.
With their second pick in the sixth round, the Bills selected wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins, who played for Oregon State. He's the second wide receiver the Bills have selected in the draft. Hodgins is 6-4, 210 pounds, and had 13 touchdowns last year, which was was the second-highest season total in school history.
With their final pick in this year's draft, the Bills went back to the defensive side of the ball and selected Pittsburgh cornerback Dane Jackson, who led the team with 12 pass breakups and was named second team All-ACC. He had 43 tackles and an interception.
