Josh Allen feels sting of playoff loss

The Buffalo Bills loss to the Houston Texans in overtime was a gut-wrenching way for season to end.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Perhaps no one summed up what the Buffalo Bills are feeling better than Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

"We all have a sour taste in our mouths after yesterday," Allen said. "I won't be over this loss until we can play again. I'm very self-driven. I'm going to learn from it and use it and grow from it. This will be a chip on my shoulder until we play again."

Allen was a among a number of players at New Era Field cleaning out their lockers after Saturday's heartbreaking loss to the Texans in the Wild Card playoff game.

Allen said he will again work out with quarterback guru Jordan Palmer and a group of quarterbacks, including the Jets' Sam Darnold, in California this offseason, but first he plans on taking a few weeks off before getting back in the weight room to get ready for the Bills' offseason program.

While there are no guarantees, plenty can happen between now and next season, the future for the Bills appears to be bright. Allen and his teammates certainly feel that way.

"We're going to have this feeling in our stomach for the next eight months until we play again, throughout the off season process of training and working out and trying to learn our playbook," Allen said. "It sucks now, but we can learn from this and try to use it for the better. With guys in this locker room, I have no doubt we'll do that."
