BUFFALO, NY — The home of the Buffalo Bisons will get a new name in 2019.
Coca-Cola will not renew its naming rights agreement with the Bisons, meaning a new name will don the field for the first time since 2008.
"Beginning in 2019, the Bisons and Coca-Cola are excited to extend our long-term and very important partnership in a meaningful way," the Bisons said in a statement Thursday. "While this will no longer include the naming rights for the ballpark following this season, we will be working closely with Coca-Cola to transition to the next phase of our successful partnership. "
The Bisons open their season on April 6 in Rochester and will make their home debut on April 12 against Indianapolis.
