BUFFALO, N.Y. — It is a busy weekend for the Bisons as they host the Yankees AAA affiliate the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

Former MVP and six-time All-star Joey Votto will be joining the Herd starting on Friday July 19.

The Ontario native 17-year veteran signed with Toronto Blue Jays in the offseason. Votto has played over 2,000 games in his career, totaling 2,135 hits, 356 homeruns, and 1,144 RBI with slash lines of .294 BA /.409 OBP /.511 SLG.

The Herd will miss facing 25th ranked national and Yankees number one prospect, Jasson Dominguez as he is dealing with an oblique injury.

The Bisons kicks-off their nine game homestand with 'Obscure Cap Night'. There will be seven categories where fans can win prizes from Bisons autographed caps to Bisons Gift Cards for their unique hats.

The categories are:

  • Best Retro Cap
  • Most Obscure Team Cap
  • Most Iconic Buffalo Cap
  • Most Obscure Movie/TV Cap
  • Most Obscure Non-Baseball Cap
  • Grungiest/Most Overworked Cap
  • Wackiest/Most Fun Cap/Hat

On Saturday July 20, Bills supporter and NFL Network host Kyle Brandt will join the Herd for 'Buffalo, Mount Up' night.

Brandt was the voice of the 2020 Bills AFC Championship Game hype video and announced the Bills 2022 third-round draft pick Terrel Bernard.

He will throw out the first pitch and hold a pregame autograph session from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The first 3,000 fans will receive a Kyle Brandt 'Mount Up' bobblehead.

The Bisons will wear locally made jerseys for the first time this season as the scoreboard will celebrate all Buffalo teams.

Brandt’s famed ‘Angry Runs’ will also be featured, possibly with highlights of Josh Allen.

Allen is third on the all-time leaderboard of ‘Angry Runs’ with four, according to Brandt.

The team will be selling Brandt’s 'Angry Run' t-shirts with proceeds benefiting the Buffalo Bisons Charitable Foundation.

On Sunday July 21, children’s TV characters Bluey and Bingo are coming to Sahlen Field.

As part of “Family Funday” kids have the chance to meet the characters at four different meet and greet sessions.
