BUFFALO, N.Y. — It's a picture-perfect day, and people are hoping for blue skies come Monday.
In the meantime, people are getting off flights, like the Harman family, traveling far from home to see the eclipse.
"Looking forward to the food, Niagara Falls, and staying warm."
Chris Harman said, "We're from Sarasota, Florida. A guy was telling me the Canadian side is a better viewing. A guy I just met here. A nice guy."
Cars are on the road, flocking into Niagara Falls. There are food trucks and souvenirs all there waiting for thousands of visitors.
"We have never been here before. It just so happens that the eclipse is going to happen," Samuel Garcia said.
Isn't that a fun cowinky-dink?
"We just got here not too long ago and came by to see it all," Garcia said.
Garcia and his family are coming from Tampa. And oh, look! They're using their binoculars and eclipse glasses to see the sun better.
"We can actually see something coming from the sun," Garcia said.
2 On Your Side also came across a family not too far from the area.
"We're from Silver Spring, Maryland, right outside of Washington DC. We thought we make a long weekend out of it. Get here early before the crowds. I've never been to Niagara Falls, so yeah, first time to Niagara," Shoshana Sumka said.
Families have come to see a wonder of the world and are waiting to experience another one on Monday.
