University at Buffalo outlines plan to be climate-neutral in a decade

Administrators say they are focusing on a "10 in 10" approach in line with scientific estimates that people have about 10 years to enact meaningful change.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The introduction of carbon pricing and a commitment to all-clean electricity are among the initiatives being introduced to make the University at Buffalo carbon-neutral in a decade.

UB's updated Climate Action Plan introduced Wednesday morning details how administrators plan to achieve net zero emissions by 2030.
