A spokesperson for the Buffalo Diocese confirms that Auxiliary Bishop Edward Grosz has asked to retire.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A spokesperson for the Buffalo Diocese confirms that Auxiliary Bishop Edward Grosz has asked to retire.

Grosz turns 75 next month, the age cannon law says bishops will retire.

The spokesperson for the Diocese adds that Bishop Grosz is now devoted solely to sacramental ministry.

The diocese also said it wasn't able to find evidence of the accusations against Monsignor Peter Popadick and Reverend Paul Nogaro, and they've both returned to the ministry.
