LOCKPORT, N.Y. - It was a bright, sunny day in Niagara County last November 18th, but dozens of police officers, firefighters and volunteers left their own communities to answer the call of their brothers and sisters battling the snow a few dozen miles to the south.
They remember seeing the dark ominous lake-effect plume coming off of Erie, blanketing many of the suburbs to the south and east of Buffalo. They knew there were people who needed their help. They knew their comrades in emergency services needed their help too.
A year after the Snowvember storm that dropped up to 8 feet of snow in some areas, we look back with a few of the folks that dropped everything to help us dig out.
