New tenants for Northtown Plaza redevelopment

New tenants are being added to the Northtown Plaza site that is slated to be redeveloped.

AMHERST, N.Y. — New tenants are being added to the Northtown Plaza site that is slated to be redeveloped.

The 333,000 square foot site will be called  'Station Twelve' in a nod to the property's history.  WS Development says the property was once identified as 'Township 12'. “The name is both future-focused and firmly rooted in the past,” said Christa Seychew, Director, Station Twelve. “We expect this place to become an essential hub of community, culture and commerce, and we feel this name helps to articulate that aspiration.”

WS has confirmed the following businesses for the property:  Williams Sonoma, L.L. Bean, Banana Republic, Pottery Barn, West Elm, Athleta, City Works, B. Good and Public Espresso & Coffee.

“We’ve gotten great response to the project and to the market,” added SVP of Leasing at WS Development, Brian Sciera.  “The tremendous sense of community and growth that Buffalo has enjoyed is a really compelling story to tell. We look forward to sharing the names of the exciting brands and concepts that will take root at Station Twelve.”

The Town of Amherst told 2 On Your Side in April that demolition was supposed to start late spring or early summer.  WS Developement says they expected to break ground later this year.

Amherst officials say the developer applied for a site plan amendment in May after they had purchased the old KeyBank property next door.
