BUFFALO, NY-- The Catholic Diocese of Buffalo announced Monday a priest has resigned following an abuse complaint.
According to the WNY Catholic website, Bishop Richard J. Malone asked Father Robert Yetter to resign following a new abuse complaint. Father Yetter served as a pastor of St. Mary's of Swormville.
Father Yetter has also been placed on leave and an investigation is conducted.
Officials say the order to place Father Yetter on leave is for the purpose of the investigation and "does not imply any determination as to the truth or falsity of the complaint."
