BUFFALO, N.Y. — New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and State Attorney General Letitia James held a joint news conference Wednesday to discuss general election results.
Both congratulated President-Elect Donald Trump on his victory and thanked New Yorkers for heading to the polls.
The state attorney general was asked about Trump's comments that he could prosecute James for election interference, citing the cases against him in New York.
"I'm not fearful of Donald Trump, never been fearful of Donald Trump," she said. "It's unfortunate that Donald Trump would engage in these comments. At this point, the case is on appeal. We are looking forward to the decision of the appellate decision."
The New York Appeals Court is considering Trump's appeal of a civil fraud judgment that could cost the president-elect nearly $500 million.
