NEW YORK STATE, USA — Election season is approaching us again, and those who may have questions when it comes to voting can now have those easily answered using the Election Protection Hotline.
New York State Attorney General Letitia James announced that the Office of the Attorney General will be opening the Election Protection Hotline on November, 7.
People can reach the hotline by calling (866)-390-2992 or can visit the hotline website.
The hotline provides voters with protection intimidation, deception and obstruction under State and Federal law.
"Our election protection hotline is here to help voters address challenges and provide helpful guidance, whether they’re voting absentee, during early voting, or on Election Day,” Attorney General James said.
The telephone hotline will be open during early voting from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on October, 28 until November, 5.
On Election Day, which is Tuesday, November 7 the hotline will be open from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on November 8.
Written requests may be done online through an election-related assistance form which can be found here.
The calls and written requests for election-related assistance will be processed by the OAG attorneys and staff.
