BUFFALO, N.Y. — The stage is officially set for the special election to fill the vacant congressional seat in the 27th Congressional District here in Western New York.
The Erie County Democratic Committee on Thursday night endorsed former Grand Island town supervisor Nate McMurray five days after GOP leaders endorsed State Senator Chris Jacobs.
McMurray almost beat former congressman, and now convicted felon, Chris Collins in 2018.
The special election will likely be April 28, the same day as the Democratic presidential primary.
