BUFFALO, N.Y. — Although we have just entered August, it's time to prepare for a Thanksgiving tradition in WNY. Runners will want to get a head start on registration for the 129th annual Turkey Trot, opening online at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 2.
Until full capacity has been reached for the 8k race, trotters can register at YMCATurkeyTrot.org.
Approximately 14,000 runners and walkers participate every year in Buffalo's Turkey Trot- the oldest consecutively-run footrace across the globe. Proceeds from the race benefit YMCA programs that address community needs, such as youth-centered programs and services that improve community health.
