BUFFALO, N.Y. — The 31st anniversary of The World's Largest Disco will be held on Saturday at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.
Hosted by Conesus Fest for Charity, Inc., all proceeds from the event will be donated to Camp Good Days & Special Times, a camp for children with cancer.
The disco will run from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. for partygoers 21 and older. Suggested attire includes leisure suits, polyester shirts, platform shoes, bellbottoms, and halter tops.
The original The World's Largest Disco was held in 1979 in Buffalo and has been hosted in the Buffalo Convention Center ever since. This year’s party is sold out and over 7,000 people will attend the event dressed in vintage clothes from the 70s.
A group of celebrity appearances will also be in attendance Saturday night. The disco announced on Instagram Friday that Erik Estrada (CHiPs), Deney Terrio (Dance Fever), Steven Weber (Wings, Chicago Med), Dave Coulier (Full House), and Aesha Scott (Below Deck) will be at the party.
Also, Sister Sledge featuring Kathy Sledge will perform their disco anthem, “We Are Family” during the disco party.
