NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The woman hit by a vehicle on Niagara Falls Boulevard Friday night has died from her injuries, police announced Tuesday.
According to Niagara Falls Police, around 8:40 p.m. Friday, the Niagara Falls Police Crash Management Team was called to the 8800 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard for an accident involving a pedestrian.
Police say a 62-year-old Niagara Falls man was driving a 2016 Toyota Tacoma westbound on the Boulevard when he hit 65-year-old Linda (Quarcini) Anello, who was in the north driving lane.
Anello was taken to ECMC where she was in critical condition with head trauma before succumbing to her injuries Monday.
According to police, the driver of the truck is cooperating, and the incident remains under investigation.
