AMHERST, NY-- A former art teacher at a Williamsville school has pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child.

Donna M. Sleap, who is an art teacher at Casey Middle School, admitted to having inappropriate contact with a 13-year-old male student.

Sleap was arrested in January after being placed on administrative leave by the district in December. She is scheduled to be sentenced in July, where she could face up to one year in jail.

Williamsville Schools say Sleap resigned her position from the district and surrendered her teaching certificate.
