WEST SENECA, N.Y. — West Seneca Police are releasing details about the department's involvement in two separate car chases that resulted in numerous arrests.
The first took place last Thursday night and started as a traffic stop on Harlem Road. Police say when Officer Travis Deubell asked the driver to get out of his car, he instead sped from the scene along with his three passengers.
A chase ensued through several streets in the town and into South Buffalo where the suspect vehicle crashed into two others at the intersection of Seneca and Stevenson streets. The driver, identified by police as Gary Cameron, took off on foot and has not been located. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Cameron's three passengers, Steven Cameron of Buffalo, Justin Swack of Hamburg and Amanda Miller of Buffalo were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. They have been charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Then on Sunday, acting on tips of possible violent gang activity at The Vault Night Club on Seneca Street, officers saw a vehicle leave the club and commit several traffic infractions. As Officer Michael Kocieniewski tried to pull over the vehicle, it took off at a high rate of speed through several streets before finally stopping on Union Road near the Gardenview Restaurant. A loaded handgun and suspected marijuana were found in the vehicle. The driver, Antwaine Parker, Jr. from North Tonawanda and and his three passengers, Sydney Johnson of Tonawanda, Maurice Cheatom of Cheektowaga and Tarrin Hall of Buffalo were placed under arrest and booked on charges including criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Suspects in the Thursday incident have not been booked yet and police were not able to provide their mug shots at this time.
