BUFFALO, N.Y. — A West Seneca man has been arrested and charged following a criminal complaint with possession of child pornography.
Joseph A. Buelow, 29, of West Seneca, is accused of communicating with underage girls through a dating application "Meet24."
The West Seneca Police Department received a complaint from "Pred Catchers" in Feb. 2024 that stated Buelow was contacting minors.
Pred Catchers is a group of volunteers who work to expose online child predators, according to police.
Following an initial investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Buelow sent nude pictures of himself and attempted to get the minors to send nude images of themselves.
A search warrant was executed where investigators found multiple communications between Buelow and individuals he believed were minors, and sexually explicit images of child pornography.
One victim has been identified who was allegedly sexually abused.
