West Seneca intersection reopens following crash that involved a pedestrian

WEST SENECA, N.Y. — West Seneca Police on Wednesday evening responded to a crash that involved a pedestrian.

The crash happened some time around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Union Road and Indian Church Road. Police called it a "serious injury accident" in a social media post, urging people to avoid the area as the Accident Investigation Unit worked the scene.

Commuters were told to find alternate routes until Union Road reopened, which was some time around 9 p.m. The road was closed for roughly three hours, according to NITTEC.

West Seneca Police did not immediately provide an update on the pedestrian's injuries, or any other injuries from the crash scene.
