BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Mental Health Empowerment Project is hosting a Wellness Day Expo at the Downtown Buffalo and Erie County library.

The event will bring together more than 40 local organizations, businesses, and community members. This includes Medicaid, recovery, and LGBTQ+ resources.

Bryant Pugh from the Mental Health Empowerment Project tells 2 On Your Side, that the goal is to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. He says "It's really about understanding someone else's situation empathetically, and through a shared experience of emotional and psychological events, lived experience and pain we find this commonality that we are more alike than we are different"

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 1st.
