BUFFALO, N.Y. — The effort to help kids in memory of superfan Pancho Billa just hit another incredible milestone.

The folks at The Teacher's Desk say with donations from Bills linebacker Lorenzo Alexander and National Grid, they're now over $100,000 in the drive in memory of Ezra Castro.

That means more than 10,000 backpacks full of school supplies will go to kids in need.

All those donations though, means they're going to need some help in a few weeks.

"All of our normal volunteers, regular volunteers, out of 250 that volunteer here all year long, about 40 of them are here pre-packing for the big pack which takes place June 10th at New Era Field. They're pre-packing because that day they're planning to pack 4,500 school supplies filled with school supplies. So we're going to do as much as we can to prep for that," said John Mika, Director at The Teachers Desk.

They'll be holding that big packing event Monday, June 10 from 2pm to 5pm at New Era Field. If you'd like to help, send an email that you'd like to volunteer to volunteer@theteachersdesk.org.
