BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Six people are receiving help from the Red Cross after two homes caught fire Sunday afternoon in Buffalo, according to the Buffalo Fire Department.
Dispatchers say they received a call about the fire at about 12:11 p.m. and responded to two addresses on Townsend Ave near Broadway Street.
The source of the fire is believed to be a vehicle parked between the two homes. The fire then spread to both homes.
The vehicle sustained about $6,500 in damage while the damage to both homes is estimated at about $50,000 each. About $30,000 is estimated in damage to the content of each home. dispatchers say.
There were no reported injuries and how the vehicle caught fire is under investigation.
