BUFFALO, N.Y. — Little of the city actually voted, but we have big changes coming to the Buffalo School Board.
And whether you voted or not, the board controls a budget that uses a lot of taxpayer money.
In addition to the five returning incumbents, all four new board members are backed by the Buffalo Teachers Federation.
When asked about the kind of influence the Buffalo Teacher's Federation has on the board members, President Phil Rumore says he "very rarely" calls on them.
"I don't think there's going to be anything new we're asking for. The usual things will be smaller class sizes. We'll be asking for more art and music, more school counselors, social workers, attendance teachers, et cetera."
Additionally, when asked if any of the candidates promised Rumore anything for his endorsement he said quote: "not at all."
