BUFFALO, N.Y. — Preparing for the 128th annual YMCA Turkey Trot may include stretching, jogs, and cardio but it should also include picking up your pre-race packets.
People participating in the trot are encouraged to pick up their pre-race packets beginning on Monday, November 20 at the Independent Health Family YMCA in Amherst. It is best to pick up your packet in advance starting Monday through Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
According to Storm Team 2, as of now, the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning in downtown Buffalo looks chilly, with temperatures in the low 30s with partly sunny skies. Thanksgiving will be dry and pleasant, with a high in the low 40s.
If needed, you can pick up on the day of the race from 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. at the Delaware Family YMCA located at 2564 Delaware Ave. in Buffalo.
The Turkey Trot will kick off at 9:00 a.m. sharp on Thanksgiving morning, November 23 in North Buffalo at the corner of Delaware and Tacoma Avenues.
