BUFFALO, N.Y. — Fourteen thousand runners and walkers trekked up Delaware Avenue for the 128th Annual YMCA Turkey Trot.
The Turkey Trot is the longest consecutively run footrace in the world, according to organizers.
The overall winner and fastest male was Michael Brannigan from Buffalo. He finished the race in twenty four minutes and 59 seconds.
Elle Orie from Orchard Park was the fastest woman, finishing at 27:23.
Proceeds from the race will help provide financial assistance to WNY children and families in need to participate in YMCA programs, as well as community outreach programs and vital services to help youth development and healthy living.
