BUFFALO, N.Y. — Beer lovers rejoice! There's a new way to get involved in one of Western New York's flourishing industries.
With all the local breweries offering creative, Buffalo themed beers, there's a new program at Trocaire College to help people learn more about what's happening in the Western New York craft beer scene.
"Trocaire on Tap" is a weekly series open to everybody who's interested in craft beer. The program starts tonight and will meet each Tuesday until April. The classes will feature presentations by beer-centric travel company Happy Sherpa, a dessert and beer pairing experience, a live recording of the What the Hops Podcast and more.
The class is run by the college's brewing, distilling and fermentation science program, which gives students all the tools they need to join the booming beverage business.
Other beer-related classes being offered by Trocaire are Intro to Brewing, Sensory Evaluation of Beer, Science of Brewing and Distilling and a ServSafe Alcohol Duo Course.
