ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Orchard Park has lifted their travel advisory.
However, the roads are still snow covered and slippery, according to police. They also say there are several abandoned vehicles on side streets that they are working with their owners to remove.
They remind motorists to drive slow and give themselves extra time when traveling on the roadways.
A Lake Effect Snow Warning continues for Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and southern Erie counties until 7 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The lake effect snow band east of Lake Erie is slowly shifting south but is moving slower than expected.
So far Monday night many locations in central and southern Erie County are already reporting well over half a foot of snow and some spots nearing to around a foot of snow.
