TONAWANDA, N.Y. — The Town of Tonawanda and Paddock Park have added a new soccer and rugby field for athletes to use, just in time for the summer season.
New facilities are being added to the park as part of the Town of Tonawanda Youth, Parks & Recreation Enhancement Project.
“Paddock Park has more recreation opportunities than any other venue in Western New York,” said Councilman Timothy Hennessy, a member of the Town of Tonawanda Youth, Parks & Recreation Committee.
“It is quickly becoming a premier destination for families, and we are looking forward to a summer of great fun at these first-class facilities.”
In a social media post the group mentioned "Across the street, there are limited rentals at Paddock Chevrolet Ice Arena to make sure operations are fine-tuned and everything is working properly. Public skating will begin soon. Paddock Chevrolet Pickleball courts and Paddock Chevrolet Beach Volleyball courts are expected to open the week of June 25."
A Spray Park is also set to open in early August, once construction has been completed.
