BUFFALO, N.Y. — Many people with driver's licenses may not remember that it is a requirement to have an up-to-date vision test when renewing.
As a reminder, Tops Friendly Markets has locations with pharmacies that can give those who need an updated eye test the authorized one from the NYS DMV.
During 2020 many people were not able to get an eye test for license renewal or appointments were postponed due to COVID-19.
Those who were impacted between March 1, 2020, through Aug. 31, 2021, that did not submit an eye test will need to get an updated one by Dec. 1, 2023, or their licenses will be suspended.
