These 10 Buffalo properties were the first to make the National Register of Historic Places

We all know that Buffalo is full of history and 55 years-ago, hundreds were added to the National Register.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 enabled the National Parks Service to create the National Register of Historic Places. Since the act was created 55 years ago, 238 properties within the City of Buffalo have been listed with the designation, which preserves and protects historical and architectural landmarks.
