BEMUS POINT, N.Y. — The title for 'Most Chicken Wings Served' is back in Western New York.
Village Casino a restaurant in Bemus Point broke the record for most chicken wings served in 24-hours, according to a social media post they made on Sunday. They sold 55,760 wings during their 24-hour event this past weekend.
The Chautauqua County restaurant previously broke the record in 1982 with 30,000 wings, 2018 with 42,210 wings, and did it again now in 2024. The Bemus Point restaurant had held onto the record up until 2023, when Weitzel’s Wings of Laramie, Wyoming, sold 48,083 Buffalo wings.
Proceeds from the chicken wing record-breaking event went towards the Bemus Point Volunteer Fire Company.
The Village Casino shared their excitement on Facebook writing:
"Sorry for the wait everyone!!! Today has been hard, but sooo worth it in the end!!! Our total number of Chicken Wings served in 24 hrs is……. 55,760!!!!!!!!! WE DID ITTTT!!!!! We Brought the record back home where it belongs!!!!!! We couldn’t have done it without each one of you!!! We were blown away with the support this community showed us!!!! Also HUGE Thank you to all of our staff and volunteers who worked endlessly to make it happen!!! You are all the real MVPs!!"
