BUFFALO, N.Y. — Red Cross is assisting one person after a fire rolled through a Buffalo home on Thanksgiving Day.
The Buffalo Fire Department responded to a call around 4:10 p.m. Thursday at 244 Peach St., blocks east of Buffalo General hospital. That's where a fire started in the second-floor living room of 2.5-story, wood frame building.
The fire caused $60,000 in damage to the building and $30,000 to its contents, a Buffalo Fire Department spokesperson told 2 On Your Side.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
