DUNKIRK, N.Y. — As the upcoming Bills vs. Chiefs game has brought up a lot of conversations regarding a certain blonde popstar some history has even been dug up connecting her to Western New York.
In a blog created by Angela Keppel called 'Discovering Buffalo One Street at a Time' they made a post dedicated to Taylor Swift's possible connections to Dunkirk.
The post goes to write that Swift's great-great grandparents lived in Dunkirk and owned a music store on Central Avenue. Opening in 1868, the music store specialized in pianos, musical merchandise, and more.
Julius Mayer, Swift's great-great grandpa, had ran the music shop while also teaching music at Dunkirk Schools. The shop was called Mayer's Music Store, and the couple's six children lived with them above the store, one being Swift's great-grandma, Eleanor Alice Mayer.
It also goes on the talk about the family's history in the area, and even shows pictures of what the building the music store was in once looked like up until it was knocked down due to a building collapse in 2015.
The Mayer family now rests in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Fredonia according to the blog.
