Suits For Your Service: Nonprofit provides help for frontline workers, veterans

The event helps frontline workers, veterans, and their families to get free suits as a way of thanking them for their service to the community.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A local nonprofit hosted an event that helps frontline workers, veterans, and their families receive free suits.

Dewitt Lee III is the founder of St. Brian Clothiers, which hosted its second annual Suits for Your Service initiative Sunday. The event serves as a way of thanking the recipients for their service to the community.

"While we dress them, we get to also address some of the things they have struggled with for a very long time," Lee said. "So you know there's something very welcoming and something that allows people to feel very vulnerable.

"Someone is getting into your space. I have to check your measurements. We get vulnerable, and so once that process takes place, they also start to share, and it's a special way for us to connect, and build trust and relationships."

The donation drive of pants, shirts, and coats also included formal outfits for women and children.
