Buffalo History Museum holds sports collectors show

Lovers of all things Buffalo sports got to check out some unique memorabilia on Saturday at the Buffalo History Museum.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Sports junkies gathered Saturday at the Buffalo History Museum for a collectors show.

Lovers of all things Buffalo sports got to check out some unique memorabilia and tour the museum's exhibit, "ICONS: The Makers and Moments of Buffalo Sports." That exhibit was shown during a 30-minute tour.

"There's some great older Bills stuff, championship rings, banners. There's some interactive items that can be dealt with. There's items going back to the 30s when the Bisons won championships," Sonny Emerling, a board member at the Buffalo History Museum, told 2 On Your Side.

"It traces just about everything that you think of except, of course, a Super Bowl. But who knows? Maybe soon that will happen."

Emerling said his favorite item on display is a mason jar filled with water that he collected from the ice during the last game played at The Aud.

The event was held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
