MAYVILLE, NY - A famous steamboat is one step closer to staying in Western New York.
This is video we shot of the Chautauqua Belle in February. It's been docked in the Chautauqua County Village of Mayville for quite some time.
On Friday, the Jamestown Post Journal reported that the boat's operators and the village board have reached a lease agreement that will be signed next week. It's a five-year deal with built in renewal options.
The Belle's lease expired in October and negotiations have been taking place since then.
