BUFFALO, NY-- Wednesday morning's snow caused many problems on roads around Western New York.
One of the accidents involved a school bus with children on board. The accident happened on Orchard Park Road in West Seneca. Eleven students were evaluated at the scene and multiple ambulances were called in to help, but luckily none of the injuries are considered serious.
All of the 11 students from the Allendale Elementary School bus accident were treated and released from Women and Children's Hospital. None of the students were admitted, all of them were evaluated in the emergency room and then released.
A car versus tractor trailer accident on the Thruway just east of Batavia also caused a major backup for anyone heading towards Buffalo. Troopers say a tractor trailer broke down on shoulder at mile marker 384 when a pick-up truck veered off the road and struck the back of the tractor trailer. The male driver of the pick-up truck was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mercy Flight. Investigators say he suffered head and leg injuries. His current condition is unknown at this time.
In Buffalo, a two car accident sent one of the vehicles into a building. The accident happened at Clinton and Bailey. After the two cars struck, one vehicle slid into a restaurant at the intersection but it did not cause major damage to the building. Two people were taken to ECMC with non-life threatening injuries. No charges are being filed.
A viewer sent us a picture of a rollover accident in Cheektowaga. It happened at Union and Genesee roads. Police say three vehicles were involved. One person was taken to ECMC with non-life threatening injuries.
