BUFFALO, N.Y. — An exciting summer camp is coming to Shea's Performing Arts Center for young actors across Western New York.
'Comedy on Cue' gives kids ages 9-12 years old the opportunity to write an original comedy sketch and then be able to perform it on the grand stage.
The camp is supported by the Arts Engagement & Education team at Shea's, teaching campers the skills behind screenwriting and improvisation.
'Comedy on Cue' will follow a sitcom structure inspired by SNL skits, where students will create pilot episodes for their sketches followed by theme songs and commercials for a complete live studio experience.
Registration is limited to 21 spaces for the comedy camp, running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. August 5 through 9.
