BUFFALO, N.Y. — Former City of Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown is settling into his new role as the CEO & President of Western Regional Off-Track Betting alongside some of his former colleagues.

2 On Your Side's Dave McKinley received word on Thursday that former Deputy Mayor Steve Casey and former City Spokesman Mike DeGeorge would be joining the Western Regional OTB staff under Brown.

Brown hired Casey as the OTB's Chief Administrative Officer at an annual salary of $190,000 a year. DeGeorge was hired as OTB's Communications Director at an annual salary of $130,000 a year.

Thursday's announcements come one day after Brown attended his first set of committee meetings as the new head of Western Regional Off-Track Betting.

Brown's first act of the meetings was to release his employment contract, which 2 On Your Side asked for through a Freedom of Information Law request.

The contract lays out a three-year deal and a salary of $295,000 for the former mayor, with raises contingent upon performance up to $305,000 and $315,000 in the following years.

Brown would also be allotted a $800 a month car allowance.
