BUFFALO, N.Y. — The people at Say Yes Buffalo are getting more money in their mission to help get Buffalo students into college and into the workforce.
The group announced Thursday that it has gotten a $100,000 grant from the Citi Foundation.
Say Yes Buffalo officials say that money is going to an internship and career pathways program, which works on getting Buffalo school graduates paid summer internships to get them the job skills that they need.
"The job market is a competitive one, and there's a tough learning curve for recent graduates," Robin Wolfgang of Citibank said. "Say Yes knows that internships should be a key part of the college learning experience for all students."
Overall, 142 students have gotten paid internships through the program during the last three years.
