Orchard Park, N.Y. — The holiday season is in full swing, which means that Santa Land at Chestnut Ridge Park is just around the corner.
The event gets underway this weekend, with all kinds fun for the family, including hayrides to Santa, arts and crafts, face painting and other activities. Erie County officials say they want everyone to come out and bring a new unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots with them.
"Santa's going to hit as many houses as he can. He's going to hit every house," said Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz. "But of course, if we can give an extra gift or two to help a little boy, a little girl, whose family may need a little assistance, we want to do it."
Santa Land runs Saturday, December 8 and Sunday, December 9 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Chestnut Ridge Park.
