Sabres fans hold protest in front of KeyBank Center

The number of people attending the protest might have been small. But the discontent they showed with the team's year-after-year performance was hard to miss.

BUFFALO, N.Y. —

A group of Buffalo Sabres fans gathered in front of KeyBank Center for a Pack the Plaza protest on Saturday morning.

Around 15 people attended the demonstration. They chanted things such as “Terry must go.”

When 2 On Your Side spoke with the young man who organized the event, he said he would feel better about the team if the ownership was more present in the community.

"I think people will be happy if they did anything, 'cause right now they're doing nothing. They're not talking, they're not acknowledging it. A simple Terry Pegula coming out and saying, 'Yeah, we're upset too,' would be fantastic. People would still be upset but at least he's acknowledging the state of the organization and how angry and sad fans are to watch this team," Peter Tripi told 2 On Your Side's Karys Belger.

Tripi also told 2 On Your Side that if he feels support for the team will dwindle if fans don't see a turnaround.
