BUFFALO, N.Y. — Happy victory Friday Buffalo!
Thursday had a lot to celebrate in WNY when it came to the Buffalo Bills, but the true star of the show was retired quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Fitzpatrick who played on the Buffalo Bills for four seasons before retiring in 2022, after a career total of 17 seasons in the NFL, had made multiple appearances around the area on Thursday leading up to the game in Orchard Park.
Earlier in the day, Fitzpatrick was joined by another Bills player from the past Stevie Johnson, the two got together and surprised students at Hyde Park Elementary School. The surprise visit was apart of a 'Thursday Night Football Gives Back' initiative.
To keep the good energy going, Ryan then made his way to Highmark Stadium to cheer on the Bills in their Thursday night game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He greeted fans, and signed autographs before kickoff.
The Bills brought home the win 24-18, and Fitzpatrick celebrated the victory by firing everyone up in the crowd, and giving Josh Allen a celebratory hug.
