BUFFALO, N.Y. — Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center was ranked Tuesday as one of America's top employers for women in 2024 by Forbes. Roswell is one of only three cancer centers across the U.S. to be recognized with the distinction presented by Forbes and Statista Inc.
America's best employers for women were ranked by an independent survey of over 150,000 women working for companies across the nation with at least 1,000 workers. All different work sectors are included like retail, insurance, healthcare, food and beverage, biotechnology, and more.
Forbes references personal and public evaluations and diversity among top executives to finalize their list.
Roswell Park was ranked #152 out of 600, placing the center in the top 25%. Wegmans Food Markets was ranked #219 and 11th out of all retail and wholesale employers on the list.
The top five employers are as follows:
- Nationwide Children's Hospital
- Progressive
- Lululemon Athletica
- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota
- Footlocker
Honorable mentions include Syracuse University at #182 and Trader Joe's at #256.
