DEPEW, N.Y. — As fall weather begins to take over Western New York, Reinstein Woods is preparing to host their 24th annual Fall Festival.
This year's event will take place on Saturday, September 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day will feature crafts for kids, live animals, hands-on activities, forest walks, and more to celebrate nature in WNY.
No registration is needed to the festival; however, a $3 donation is requested to cover the cost of the festival. Visitors are also encouraged to bring some extra cash to buy food and merchandise at the event.
Boy Scout Troop 500 will have hotdogs, hamburgers, fresh fruit, drinks and snacks for sale.
The schedule of events begins with a bird walk with the Buffalo Audubon Society followed by learning about the job of a forest ranger. The day also includes a tree hike with a DEC Forester, a WNY PRISM forest walk music by the Buffalo Ukulele Club, and much more.
Exhibitors in attendance include Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper, Cheektowaga Historical Association, Penn Dixie Fossil Park & Nature Reserve, Western New York Scout Council, and more.
