Area 51 hosts a fundraiser to combat child abuse

The weekend long fundraiser benefits the Niagara Falls Bikers Against Child Abuse Chapter. It will feature motocross, fun prizes, and more in Batavia.

BATAVIA, N.Y. — Looking for fun weekend plans? We have the perfect event to checkout happening in Batavia.

Taking place on both Saturday and Sunday at Area 51 Motocross there will be a 'Race Against Child Abuse' fundraiser. Even those who may not be motocross fans are encouraged to come join in on the fun for a great cause.

On Saturday, June 29 gates will be open for practice from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a fee of $20. The night race will be at 5 p.m. under the lights on the Dunlop track. Then on Sunday, June 30 gates will be open at 7 a.m. with a fee of $15. Sunday will feature races on the main track.

Children who are 7-years-old and younger can attend for free.

Those attending will have a chance at winning raffle prizes such as a Lone Mountain cooler filled with BBQ items, an electric garage opener, autographed motocross goggles, and so much more. 

Proceeds collected at the event will benefit the Niagara Falls Bikers Against Child Abuse Chapter (B.A.C.A.) which serves Niagara, Orleans, and Genesee counties. 

"Empowering children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year." is the groups moto listed on their website.
