A Lancaster Police officer is facing charges in connection with a boat crash that killed a Lancaster Middle School teacher.
Investigators say Michael Cronin was driving the boat in Lake Erie last May when it hit a break wall.
Eric Przykuta was ejected and died.
Cronin is now facing one count of reckless operation of a vessel under the navigation law and one count of imprudent speed under the navigation law.
He faces a maximum of 30 days in jail and a $500 fine if he's convicted.

Although nothing can fill the tremendous void left by Eric’s untimely death, the Przykuta Family prays that justice will be served through the criminal prosecution of Michael Cronin."
