DEPEW, N.Y. — The Erie County Auto Bureau hosted a Disabilities Day at the Department of Motor Vehicles on George Urban Boulevard in Depew.
Saturday's event provided an opportunity for people with disabilities to obtain state-issued IDs and get assistance with motor vehicle-related issues.
The Erie County Clerk says having a proper ID is one less barrier people with disabilities have to face when searching for a job.
"People with disabilities, whether it be visible or invisible, should have IDs that belong to them because it shows people who they are, and it can be a source of pride for somebody to say, 'This is me, this is who I am,' " Erie County resident BJ Stasio said.
Those in need of additional assistance can contact the Erie County Office for People with Disabilities.
